Learning to live with diabetes isn't an easy thing to do, but it certainly an essential thing. People with diabetes can and do live long and healthy lives. There are many famous and accomplished people in all walks of life who have diabetes. Jack Benny lived to be 80 years old. Mary Tyler Moore is 72 and going strong. Anwar Sadat lived to be only 63, but he was assassinated. Ray Kroc (the founder of McDonald's) lived to be 82 and died of a heart problem unrelated to diabetes.

Getational Diabetes
There is no one certain cause of gestational diabetes, but there are several contributing factors. The chances of gestational diabetes occurring is greater when the woman is older than 35, has a family history of gestational diabetes, has polycystic ovary syndrome, is obese, has already given birth to a child with birth defects, or who has had gestational diabetes during a previous pregnancy.
Exercise for Diabetics
Too many people confine their exercise to jumping to conclusions, running up bills, stretching the truth, bending over backward, lying down on the job, sidestepping responsibility, and pushing their luck." Nobody takes credit for that statement, but it is true; and for diabetics, the part about pushing their luck is especially true if they don't engage in regular PHYSICAL exercise.
